Candidates should possess relevant senior-level qualifications, including an RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor or equivalent, with an emphasis on safety and quality delivery. This opportunity requires flexibility, working across a 7-day schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one of the following Senior Level qualifications: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor; UKCC Level 2 Coach or BC Coach Award.
• Holding an RYA Powerboat Level 2 and/or a first aid qualification would be advantageous.
• Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Salary: From £13.50 - £14.10 per hour

Hours: Zero hour agreement

Overview

Willen Lake, managed by The Parks Trust, Milton Keynes, is seeking Senior Watersports Instructors. You will support the Watersports Manager and Watersports Supervisor in the management of the department, lead the team, undertake session observations, and deliver a range of sessions to a variety of ages and abilities. You will ensure visitors have a safe and memorable experience on the water by delivering high-quality sessions in line with internal procedures and national governing body syllabuses.

Responsibilities

• Support the Watersports Manager and Watersports Supervisor in department management.
• Lead the team and conduct session observations.
• Deliver a range of watersports sessions to diverse ages and abilities.
• Ensure safety and high-quality delivery aligned with internal procedures and relevant governing body syllabuses.
• Work across a 7-day operation, typically between 8am and 8pm, including at least one weekend in two and some bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one of the following Senior Level qualifications: RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor; UKCC Level 2 Coach or BC Coach Award.
• Holding an RYA Powerboat Level 2 and/or a first aid qualification would be advantageous.
