Overview

Our client - a low-latency trading infrastructure provider - is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with strong capabilities in automation, Linux administration, and networking to become part of their System Engineering team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting, automating, and enhancing their infrastructure and service delivery platforms, ensuring they remain secure, highly available, and scalable.

Working in close collaboration with the System Engineering Team, this position requires excellent analytical skills, a forward-thinking mindset toward continuous improvement, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain, and enhance the stability, performance, and availability of both new and existing infrastructure.
• Coordinate and manage patching activities across Linux and Windows environments.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve software, hardware, and network issues across internal and client systems.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, redundancy, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Design and support infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible and Packer.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and ongoing maintenance processes.
• Collaborate closely with System Engineering, Security, and Operations teams to ensure reliable and integrated service delivery.
• Produce and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.
• Investigate and assess emerging technologies and solutions to address operational challenges.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Linux system administration
• Strong networking knowledge
• Demonstrated experience with automation and configuration management tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages
• Experience with central authentication systems
• Exposure to on-premise server deployments
• Familiarity with source control systems
