Job summary

A family-owned hotel located in Bracknell is seeking a Full Time CDP (Chef de Partie) to join its dynamic Kitchen Brigade. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and plating quality food, creating menu ideas, ensuring food safety, and training kitchen staff. The position offers a competitive salary of £31,500 annually, plus tips and benefits including discounts and paid holidays. Flexible shifts will include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and plate quality food throughout service.
  • Create new seasonal menu ideas.
  • Assist in meal preparation and presentation.
  • Address customer complaints or compliments.
  • Record daily costings of menu items.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate in designing menus and function offerings.
  • Maintain cleaning schedules for the kitchen.
  • Assist with training and development of kitchen staff.
  • Conduct stock ordering and rotation.

Skills

Good understanding of written & spoken English
Excellent Communication skills
Proven track record of success creating quality food
Attention to detail
Enthusiasm to develop skills
Ability to work without close supervision

Education

NVQ of Cookery - Level 2
Food Hygiene level 2 or above
