Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Tees Valley is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to support project teams and lead design assurance. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification (MICE or MIStructE) and extensive knowledge in temporary works design and ground engineering. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, technical expertise in mechanical and structural engineering, and an understanding of BIM. The successful candidate will be innovative, customer-oriented, and capable of forming effective working relationships under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CSCS card.
• Extensive technical knowledge of industry best practices is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Manager and Pre-Construction Managers.
• Lead design assurance through regular reviews with project teams.
• Carry out technical audits and ensure closure of all actions.
