The team plays a critical role in building credible relationships, identifying risk early, and ensuring our supply chain can deliver safely, reliably, and at scale.**Role Summary**We’re looking for a **Senior** **Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer** to join our Manufacturing Engineering function, reporting into the Manufacturing Lead. You’ll act as a front‑line, supplier‑facing representative of the business – assessing capability, challenging assumptions, and building trusted relationships that enable manufacturing success.**Key Deliverables**We’ll need you to:* Conduct manufacturing capability assessments at supplier sites, using structured tools alongside your own technical judgement* Build and maintain credible, trusted relationships with suppliers while challenging risk, claims, and assumptions constructively* Identify supply chain risks early and work with internal teams and suppliers to reduce or resolve them**Personal Pitch**This is an impactful, visible role suited to someone who brings engineering credibility, strong judgement, and the confidence to operate in ambiguous, high‑stakes supplier environments.**Essential Skills & Experience*** Engineering or manufacturing background, with credibility in supplier‑facing environments* Experience assessing or supporting supplier manufacturing capability in complex or regulated settings* Ability to communicate clearly, challenge constructively, and work autonomously while travelling extensively**Location & Ways of Working**This is a UK‑based role (Derby, Manchester or Warrington), with flexible working supported.
