We’re seeking an experienced Groundworks Engineer with strong residential project experience who can take full ownership of setting out, quality control, and technical delivery from start to finish. This role suits a hands-on engineer who understands the pace and detail of residential groundworks and RC frame projects, and who takes pride in getting it right first time.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for setting out and controlling line and level across all groundworks and RC frame elements
• Maintain and manage up-to-date construction drawings, registers, and revisions
• Carry out pre-start site surveys, boundary checks, and level surveys
• Confident use of Leica EDM equipment (TS06 / TS12 / TS16)
• Check building layouts in relation to site boundaries and coordinate with design teams where required
• Produce accurate material take-offs and order groundworks and RC frame materials, including: Drainage systems; Waterproofing; Cast-in items
• Resolve setting-out and technical issues on site, raising and closing out RFIs efficiently
• Carry out site QA using Flowforma and ensure works comply with project specifications
• Implement and manage the site Inspection & Test Plan (ITP)
• Prepare and submit technical submittals
• Produce and manage accurate as-built records
• Maintain clear records and issue relevant information to the commercial/QS team
• Use CAD for setting out, coordination, and record-keeping
• Proactively drive technical queries to resolution to maintain programme momentum
• Strong residential groundworks background
• Self-motivated and eager to progress within a growing business
• Comfortable working autonomously while supporting site and project teams
• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times
• Able to work collaboratively with site management, subcontractors, and other trades
• Committed to supporting programme delivery and quality standards
• Right to work in the UK
