Leigh Beck Junior School is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor who has experience of teaching KS2. The role will involve teaching sets and covering teachers for PPA 3 times a week.

Responsibilities

• Teach sets and cover for PPA time as required.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to support learning across relevant keystages.

Qualifications

• Have an NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
• Be experienced in working with children of relevant age in a learning environment
• Have excellent numeracy/literacy skills - educated to a minimum of GCSE C in Maths and English
• Be able to use ICT effectively
• Have a working knowledge and experience of implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies
• Able to develop positive relationships with children and adults

Contract and Salary

Contract type: Fixed term (31st August 2026)

Grade/pay range: Scale 5/6 - Points 11-17

Salary details (annual) FTE: £28,142 - £31,022

Actual pro rata salary if part-time: £12,815 - £14,126

Working hours: 19.5 Hours per week 3 days a week (08:15 to 15:45)

Working pattern: Term time only plus inset days
