Job summary

A leading law firm in Manchester is seeking a Legal Support Assistant to provide comprehensive PA and administrative support. Responsibilities include managing client contacts, diary arrangements, billing, and ensuring effective communication within teams. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to organise tasks efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for clients and internal/external contacts.
  • Manage matter management including file opening/client inception.
  • Ensure accurate monthly delivery of volume bills.
  • Handle diary management including appointments and deadlines.
  • Perform audio typing/transcription of dictation.
  • Organise and book travel arrangements.
  • Submit expense claims.
  • Provide reminders for important tasks and deadlines.
  • Assist in preparing standard form correspondence.
  • Maintain administrative systems and procedures.

We have an exciting opportunity for an organised individual to join our team!

The Legal Support Assistant will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, proactive PA and administrative support service, showing initiative and working unprompted, enabling fee earners to maximise their fee earning potential and develop their practice.

The team supports our Development, Investment & Property Management, Construction and Housing Development teams.

What you'll be doing
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients (new and existing) and internal and external contacts
  • Matter management, to include file opening/client inception
  • Manage accurate monthly delivery of volume bills
  • Diary management, including making appointments and bookings, diarising hearings and deadlines
  • Audio typing/transcription of dictation and documents where required by the fee earners
  • Organising and booking travel arrangements
  • Submitting expense claims
  • Providing prompts and reminders for fee earners’ important tasks and deadlines
  • Assisting with the preparation of standard form correspondence
  • Implementing and maintaining administrative systems and procedures
