Become a Volunteer Mentor and play an important role in a young person’s life.
We are looking for Volunteer Mentors (18+) who have a kind and empathetic nature and want to make a positive difference in the life of a young person. We support a range of young people aged 8-14, from care experience across Glasgow and North Lanarkshire.
Partnering with intandem and funded by The Scottish Government, we provide a mentoring programme which enables young people time away from home where they can learn new skills, gain confidence, and talk to a trusted adult.
As a volunteer mentor you will be fully trained by our team, who will get to know your passions and interests before matching you to one of the young people. Our volunteer mentors are expected to dedicate 2 hours a week (or a longer session bi-weekly) with their young person, taking part in activities; whether it’s going for a walk, playing mini-golf or a trip to the cinema – the options are endless.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
All activities are funded, we only need you to be a friendly face who is committed to spending dedicated time with your mentee.

We are Right There, a charity that recently celebrated our 200th anniversary. We provide tailored support for people, at home, and in the community. We are here for people who are living with the effects of homelessness, poverty, substance use, or family breakdowns.
Last year we supported almost 4,000 individuals, helping to prevent them from becoming homeless or separated from the people they love. Every person’s story is unique, and everyone’s route home is different - it doesn’t matter what the situation is – we’re not here to judge, only to help.
