Job summary

A local healthcare training organization is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to optimize medication usage and improve patient outcomes in Worcester. The successful applicant will support teams with medicines optimization, engage with patients on their medication use, and work under the supervision of GPs to ensure safe and effective medication practices. A registered Pharmacy Technician qualification and experience in primary care are essential. Qualifications

  • Experience working as a qualified, registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Confident use of IT systems and electronic records.
  • Experience working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking patient-facing and patient supporting roles to ensure effective medicines use.
  • Carrying out medicines optimisation tasks including effective medicine administration.
  • Supporting medication reviews and medicines reconciliation.

Skills

Good understanding of medicines safety, governance and error prevention
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Education

Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Services

Tools

GP clinical systems (e.g. EMIS Web)
