Do you want to become part of one of the UK's largest motor retailers? We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join us at Vertu Nissan Glasgow.

This role will be based at Vertu Nissan Glasgow South, however you will provide support across both of our Nissan sites in Glasgow, including Nissan Glasgow Central. You’ll work closely with the Accountant who oversees both locations, ensuring consistent financial processes, reporting, and support across the two dealerships.

We are offering a fantastic salary of £35,000plus company benefits.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking to take the next step up. A working knowledge of Kerridge or similar accounting systems, as well as previous motor trade experience, is ideal but not essential. You must be able to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues, clients, and customers.

You will possess excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills.

You will work alongside the accountant in producing spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team and aid business decisions. We are committed to coaching and developing our colleagues, as such, a crucial element of the role will entail coaching and developing our existing team.

In addition to day-to-day accounts, you will also complete the following tasks:

• Forecasts
• Estimates
• Production of Management Accounts
• Payroll
• Reconciliation of balance sheets
• Accruals and prepayments
• Cash flow
• Reconciling manufacturer bonuses

We are looking for the following attributes:

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
