A major UK railway company seeks a Payroll Specialist for a full-time, permanent role based in Bristol. This position involves processing payroll data, responding to colleague inquiries, and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in a large payroll department, and a proactive attitude. This is a full time, permanent position. Salary is £30,438.

The Payroll team is based in central Bristol. The team is responsible for the production of weekly and four weekly payrolls for GWR, TransPennine Trains Ltd (TPTL), Hull trains and Heathrow Express. The team process all payroll and pension data and assist with the resolution of queries from staff and external organisations.
This position supports the payroll function of GWR, it is responsible for both processing payroll data and provide day-to-day support and reports to the team and support functions. To deliver a high-quality payroll service to GWR and other company payroll services provided by GWR.

The team are currently based in a modern office space in central Bristol.
Monday to Friday - 35 hours per week.
There will be a requirement to work occasional weekends and Bank holidays to ensure payrolls are delivered on time.
