Job summary

A recruitment service is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support commercial fit-out projects across London. You will lead the mechanical design and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards while working closely with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience in mechanical design and is proficient in design software like AutoCAD and Revit. This role offers a rate of circa £45/hour with flexible working arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design.
• Strong background in commercial CAT A and CAT B fit‑out projects.
• Comfortable working autonomously within a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and coordination of commercial fit‑out projects (CAT A & B).
• Produce detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, schematics, and schedules.
• Conduct site surveys, technical assessments, and attend design and coordination meetings.
