Independent Distribution Connection Specialists Limited (IDCSL) is a fully licensed Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) operating within the UK electricity industry. We own and operate electrical distribution networks and work closely with Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), developers, consultants and end clients to deliver flexible, reliable and cost-effective connection solutions.
Our projects exclusively focus on non-residential developments, including industrial and commercial schemes, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, generation and storage, data centres and other emerging energy and infrastructure markets. IDCSL does not operate in the residential or domestic connections market.

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across key regions including the North Midlands, Yorkshire, North East, North West and Scotland.
This is a full lifecycle business development role, with responsibility for originating new business opportunities, developing and managing project bids from initial engagement through to agreement, and building long-term relationships across the non-residential energy infrastructure market.
The role is remote-based, with regular travel essential for client meetings, site visits, internal collaboration and industry events.
