Job description

Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.

At Nscale, our finance team plays a critical role in ensuring financial stability, strategic growth and compliance. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you’ll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

About the Role

As a Senior Accounting Manager at Nscale, you’ll take a leading role in shaping our financial operations and driving excellence across all accounting functions. This is a senior-level, hands‑on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, scaling environment. You’ll oversee the accounting team, enhance our financial infrastructure, and provide strategic insights that inform decision‑making at the leadership level. Your work will help build the robust financial foundation that supports Nscale’s continued growth.

What You’ll be Doing
  • Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations while providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to accounting staff. Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close processes: prepare, review, and finalize general ledger entries and closing reports in NetSuite.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports with an analytical eye for trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Review reconciliations across RBC, Accounts Receivable, Leases, and intercompany accounts to ensure accurate balances.
  • Enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks. Partner with leadership to ensure our systems and processes scale effectively with business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to finalize transactions, obtain supporting documentation, and solve discrepancies in real time.
  • Support the Director, Accounting and Reporting with forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Manage statutory reporting, support tax filings, and audit preparation across multiple jurisdictions. Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring efficient and accurate audit processes.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives within NetSuite and related financial systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Partner with operations, legal, and commercial teams to align financial processes with business objectives, resolve issues, and implement cross‑departmental improvements.
  • Anticipate the needs of a growing organization and proactively evolve accounting structures, policies, and reporting to meet future demands.
About You
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification strongly preferred).
  • 10–15 years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated experience in month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards and familiarity with cross‑border transactions.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to navigate complex transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience in process improvement or ERP system implementation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to see both the big picture and the fine details.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—comfortable working across teams to get things done.
  • Adaptability and initiative—willing to jump into new challenges and help wherever needed as the business scales, while prioritizing effectively.
What We Can Offer You
  • A collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions will make a real impact.
  • A competitive compensation package (base + equity) with reviews every 12 months.
  • Work at one of the fastest‑growing tech startups, backed by top PE/VC firms.
  • A clear progression plan. We want you to keep growing. That means trying new things, leading others, challenging the status quo and owning your impact. Always with our complete support.
  • Flexibility: We see you as individuals first, employees second. This approach includes all the expected perks but goes beyond that to offer true flexibility. We’re proud to be a workplace that trusts our Nscalers to excel in their roles while giving you the freedom to shape your day—whether that means fitting in a school drop‑off or taking a midday break for a walk with your dog.
  • Remote‑first: Join our remote‑first team, and enjoy the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to create a productive and balanced work‑life setup, while staying connected with your global team.

At Nscale, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace.
