BMW Financial Services, Farnborough – part of the National Sales Company (NSC) for the BMW Group in the UK, works closely with Alphabet (GB) Ltd. to offer a range of customised financial services to retailers, corporate, and private customers.

Within our self-contained campus, we offer a modern way of working with an empowering office culture. Some aspects of which include:

  • Being yourself is effortless and increases efficiency – we allow employees to express themselves through our casual dress code.
  • Blended working improves mental perspective productivity. Leaders ensure apprentices maintain balance, not burnout, by focusing on output rather than attendance.
  • Opportunities to get involved with our house charity, fund raising events, and DE&I network groups.
  • Open creative spaces throughout our offices, featuring table tennis tables, darts, and football tables to encourage employee engagement and networking.
What will you be doing?

The Commercial Finance Funding team provides market leading support for wholesale funding to our network of retailers and partners. Your daily tasks will include administration, reconciliation, analysis and customer service based activities.

Key areas of focus include:
  • Reconciling day‑to‑day business within wholesale funding for BMW, MINI, Alphera, Rolls‑Royce Motor Cars.
  • Investigating and correcting rejected direct debit transactions.
  • Creating daily payment files (funds to & from retailers & dealers).
  • Supporting bank reconciliation working with Senior Administrator & Manager and the NSC & Finance teams.
  • Creating and updating retailer details, including bank mandates, within the Commercial Finance Solution System (CFS).
  • Implementing interest‑rate changes within CFS.
  • Stock audits – review & creation of correspondence & appropriate fines.
  • Analyzing and actioning dual funding reports, ensuring the vehicle loan portfolio is accurately represented with vehicle agencies (HPI, Experian).
  • Managing email inbox & telephone communication to ensure all communication is clear and concise.
Your Progression

The apprenticeship will provide several opportunities for individual career development and will provide the support and guidance necessary to ensure the training is successful.

Whilst developing specialist, on‑the‑job knowledge, the successful apprentice will achieve the attainment of an AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

Personal development within the BMW Group never stops – beginning with vocational courses and continuing with selective training throughout an individual’s career, the BMW Apprenticeship offers multiple career choices.

Qualifications and Experience
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade 5/C or above.

In addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for a range of skills, attributes, and behaviours. These include working well in a team, the ability to work without close supervision, quality focus, good communication skills, enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to take on responsibility and show accountability.

What do you need to do now?

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, then apply today. Once you click apply, you’ll be asked to create a profile, complete eligibility questions and upload your CV – you may only apply for one apprenticeship position, but you may also express your interest to be considered for others.
