Partner Growth Manager, Affiliate Marketing (French Market)

The Partner Growth Manager (French Market) is a remote, work-from-home position, as are all positions at Acceleration Partners. Candidates must reside in the UK or Germany. Some travel is required for client meetings or internal meetings, conferences, etc. Candidates must hold a valid passport, be able to travel internationally, and speak fluent French.
THE ROLE:
Acceleration Partners is accepting applications for an exciting new role that will sit in our Strategic Territory Growth department. We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnership Development Manager with business development/account management experience, to support the growth of this new department and have a key focus in the French affiliate space. This person will join client calls to pitch high‑value opportunities, provide strategic insights, progress to goals, and proactively manage the top 10 partners for their respective clients. A "how"‑not‑if" mentality, action‑oriented approach, and effective questioning are critical in this role.
TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Revenue:
- Publisher Performance: Contribute to the overall revenue goal for Growth & Partnerships, and the growth of managed clients, through creation of high‑potential relationships and optimisation of publishers, including paid placements, commission increases, and products for reviews.
- Performance and Placement Trackers: Consistently update the department relationship tracker with details on the partnerships facilitated and the client‑approved placement tracker.
- Subject Matter Expert in Client Verticals and Partner Relationships: Act as a trusted, knowledgeable resource and expert in the verticals of managed clients; proactively lead conversations to lend expertise across the organization.
Business Development and Publisher Relationships:
- Proactive Research: Identify new, high‑quality partnerships and/or opportunities based on client needs, industry evolution, and SimilarWeb.
- Written and Verbal Communication: Comfortable with cold‑emailing; communications are clear, informative, and engaging. Ask relevant questions to vet opportunities. Manage day‑to‑day communication with top publishers in the program (when owning paid placements and optimisation). Managed independently 95% of the time.
- Initiative: Proven track record of identifying and executing opportunities and optimisation across the program to drive revenue growth.
Top 10 Partner Management
- Relationship Management: Optimize opportunities with top publishers on behalf of the client, viewing oneself as an extension of the client’s business and developing long‑lasting relationships.
- Budget Management: Identify opportunities that drive client growth while maintaining a healthy ROI.
- Time Management: Exceptional calendar and time‑management skills required.
Strategy and Execution:
- Alignment to Client Strategy and Goals: Participate in engagement kickoff calls and ongoing calls as needed; ask appropriate questions and understand client goals and KPIs.
- Creation and Ongoing Ownership of Strategy: Create plans for recruitment and/or paid placement initiatives supporting the client’s program, including timelines for execution. Execute paid placement strategy, including negotiation of terms, campaign set‑up, commission changes, and coordination with partners. Manage 95% of strategy without regular assistance.
- Strategy Pivots: Adapt to change and pivot strategies to reach goals, set expectations, and project new goals when not achievable. Communicate and push back when goals are unrealistic without damaging relationships.
Pitching Opportunities:
- Persuasiveness: Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, challenge the status quo, and pitch innovative opportunities. Showcase the "why" and the partnership benefits to the client based on data.
- Publisher Vertical and Client Knowledge: High knowledge of all publisher verticals; track record of addressing client questions and speaking to opportunities.
- Tenacity: Dig into the why behind rejection, push back, and provide alternatives based on deep knowledge of publisher and portfolio.

- Strong aptitude for identifying digital strategies based on publisher business models, specifically in the French market.

- Proven knowledge and understanding of performance and acquisition marketing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of the French market.
- French language fluency required.
- 4+ years of business development or relevant experience (account management, contract negotiations, marketing).
- Experience working in a sales or account management role with small businesses.
- Proven track record of reaching and exceeding goals.
- Experience in performance marketing (particularly affiliate marketing) preferred.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills; detail‑oriented and persuasive.
- Proven record of success in a goal‑oriented, highly accountable environment.
- Comfortable leading client‑facing presentations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; natural communicator and influencer.
- Work‑from‑home and corporate office experience, a plus.
