Outline of role

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of warehouse duties within a fast-paced operation. This includes receiving goods into the warehouse, sorting, stacking and storing stock, and picking and packing items for dispatch to stores across the UK. You will play a key role in ensuring orders are processed accurately, safely and on time. The shift pattern for this role will be 3 on / 3 off with the hours of 6:00am- 6:00pm.

Main responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries of customer stock from trailers into the warehouse
• Sorting, stacking and storing goods in designated locations
• Picking and packing customer orders to agreed turnaround targets
• Dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork
• Loading trailers with customer goods in a timely manner
• Manual handling of products
• Cooperating fully with site safety requirements at all times
• Signing for and accepting responsibility for completed tasks
• Carrying out housekeeping duties, including hygiene checks
• Conducting stock integrity and quality checks
• Keeping the warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, including shelf dusting, maintaining clear gangways and litter removal

Knowledge and skills required

• A minimum of 12 months’ warehouse experience
• Good understanding of warehouse processes and safe manual handling
• Ability to work to targets in a fast-moving environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• A proactive, reliable approach to work
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Qualifications

• Valid FLT licence essential – Reach Truck
• Counterbalance FLT licence preferred
