Qualifications

  • 12 months post-qualification as a Band 5 physiotherapist, covering musculoskeletal outpatients.
  • Experience working in a physiotherapy team or MDT.
  • 6 months experience in musculoskeletal outpatients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat complex caseload of musculoskeletal patients.
  • Teach and supervise junior staff and students.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader/Physiotherapy Services Manager.

Job description

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic seniorphysiotherapists to join our outpatient team in our new Therapies hub.Successful candidates will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of amixed musculoskeletal caseload as well as leading rehabilitation classes.

Clinics run from 08:00 to 19:00 Monday toFriday. We offer flexible working which will need to include late clinics.

Job responsibilities

The post holder isresponsible for:

  • Assessing and treatingown caseload of patients who may have complex presentations whilst maintainingown records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Treating musculoskeletaloutpatients who may present with a variety of acute and chronic pain patterns,significant physical impairments due to pain or injury, psychological issues,post-operative rehabilitation requirements.
  • Providing a high standardof clinical work which will also include teaching and the supervision of juniorstaff, assistants and students.
  • Deputising for the TeamLeader/Physiotherapy Services Manager.
Person Specification
Experience
  • 12 months post-qualification as a Band 5 physiotherapist, covering a broad range of experience including musculoskeletal outpatients
  • Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or MDT
  • 6 months experience in musculoskeletal outpatients
  • Evidence of student or physiotherapy assistant supervision
Skills
  • Competency and ability to assess and treat core patient caseload in specialist field
  • Articulate with good communication skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
  • Basic presentation skills
Qualifications
  • HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Post-graduate training relevant to clinical speciality
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
