A leading logistics technology provider in the United Kingdom seeks a WMS Project Manager to lead intelligent warehouse management system implementations. The role involves project research, system configuration, and user training, ensuring timely deliveries. Candidates should have expertise in WMS products, strong communication skills, and experience in logistics. The position requires frequent travel and managing multiple projects simultaneously, offering a dynamic work environment.
Lead the implementation of intelligent warehouse management system (WMS) projects, including project research, business blueprint design, functional requirement documentation, system configuration, data preparation, user training, and go-live support to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.
Liaise with R&D teams to communicate requirements, track software development progress, and oversee testing phases.
During system integration and go-live stages, take charge of issue resolution on-site to accelerate project delivery.
Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure smooth implementation.
Summarize project experiences, produce internal training materials and industry-specific case studies, actively participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to the company’s implementation methodology.
Requirements:
Expertise in WMS functionality and implementation methodologies, with hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, or consulting on at least one mainstream WMS product (e.g., SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, Manhattan, Blue Yonder).
Deep domain knowledge in one or more logistics/supply chain industries (e.g., e-commerce, retail, apparel, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, 3PL) and ability to distill industry best practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of persuading and guiding clients and cross-functional teams with structured reasoning. Fluent in English (written & spoken).
Willingness to travel frequently and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL for data querying, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Self-driven problem-solver with a proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership, and ability to work independently under pressure.
