Position:Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Hours and Salary: NJC 15-20 £30,024 - £32,597 FTE (Actual salary £24,193.98 - £26,267.35)

School and Location:Hallamshire Academy

Contract type:34 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days, permanent

About our School

Hallamshire Academy will be a brand-new independent special school for children and young people aged 7–19 with complex needs linked to Autism and SEMH. Opening in the beautiful and historic setting of Banner Cross Hall, with expansive grounds and inspiring spaces, our school is committed to offering a highly bespoke and personalised provision.

We are looking for passionate and skilled Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they are safe, included, and engaged in learning.

Work under the guidance of teachers to deliver learning programmes for individuals and groups, both in and out of the classroom.

Assist with planning, preparation of resources, and the management of classroom routines.

Supervise whole classes occasionally during short-term teacher absence.

Help implement EHCPs, individual support plans and personal care programmes, supporting pupils’ social, emotional, health and welfare needs.

Contribute to a positive, purposeful learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve, grow in independence, and build their self-esteem.
