About the Role

Reporting into a Team Leader (each team is circa 5-7) and up to the Director of Professional Services, you will be joining a market leading team of professionals to undertake risk assessments and advise on fire, health and safety matters at a variety of buildings including mid-high rise buildings, to our established portfolio of clients across a variety of segments, including, residential, commercial and retail.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake risk assessments includingfire and healthand safety, ensuring the fee earning target is met.
  • Undertake various fire,healthand safety assignments within your competency.
  • Deliver client reports within the agreed SLA,in accordance witha forensic and pragmatic approach to ensure the Ark ‘Gold Standard’ is achieved.
  • Design health and safety site management systems whererequired, specific to client requirements.
  • Undertake onsite briefings and advise on risk management improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with other consultants to ensure we are constantly sharing knowledge across the team.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of controlling risks, compliances etc in relation to our online management system QUOODA®
  • Remainup to datewith the Technical and regulatory requirementsimpactingour clients.
  • The employee shall keep up with CPD in their own time as well as attend briefings andparticipatein CPD activities as directed by the Professional Services Director.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 5+ years’fire, health & safetyrisk assessment experience within the built environment in residential and/or commercial buildings
  • Good working knowledge of Approved Document B
  • Good working knowledge of BS 9999 / 9997
  • Education suitable to be competent to carry out Fire and Health & Safety risk assessments on seven or more floors
  • The ability toundertake Fire Risk Assessments and General Risk Assessments at the same time
  • Articulate and clear communicators and report writing abilities as well as a comprehensive understanding of current UK regulations

Qualifications

  • Must have NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent as minimum.
  • Minimum of level 4 in fire safety/risk assessment.
  • Recognised fire safety memberships e.g.AIFireE,MIFireE,GIFireE, MIFSM or MIFPO (ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Willing to apply for or have registered on any of the following fire risk assessors registers IFSM, FRACS, IFPO or IFE
