A leading engineering firm in Tees Valley is seeking an Apprentice to support mechanical and structural design. This role offers a developmental pathway to becoming a qualified mechanical engineer through part-time study. Responsibilities include producing CAD models, maintaining assembly documentation, and collaborating with various teams. Applicants must be UK Nationals and prepared for BPSS security clearance. Competitive starting salary of £19,822 with annual pay reviews. The apprenticeship duration may be up to 6 years.
We are looking to expand on our existing apprenticeship scheme within the Engineering Department. Working with the engineering team the role holder will learn to undertake and support mechanical and structural design activities and produce detail drawings. This is a challenging role in a rapidly evolving environment. The applicant must be dynamic, able to cope with a range of engineering challenges and have an eye for detail. The role provides a developmental opportunity with a view to becoming a degree qualified mechanical engineer via part time study (day release).
There will also be opportunity to support the construction and project management teams during rotations within the organisation.
The applicant will be expected to work towards developing skills in the following areas.

The apprentice will gain experience and progress within our Engineering Team with the potential to progress to Structural Engineer working across a number of fabrication sectors.
The Apprenticeship will take up to 6 years depending on entry level with a starting salary of £19,822 with annual pay reviews based on progression over and above general reviews in January. Current salary structure being:
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be UK Nationals (and be prepared to complete BPSS security clearing); in line with security requirements.
