Job summary

A leading HGV dealership in the UK is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. You will perform servicing and maintenance on trucks, conduct fault diagnostics, and ensure that all repairs adhere to manufacturer specifications. Ideal candidates will possess experience in the HGV sector and hold a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance. Competitive hourly rates and excellent training opportunities are available. Qualifications

• Experience working in HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, or associated sectors.
• Skills in completing paperwork accurately including job cards and service records.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of trucks and vehicles.
• Fault diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturer’s procedures.

Skills

Who are we looking for as an HGV Technician:

• You will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.
• Ideally have a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Or a time‑served HGV Technician.
• Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.
• General level of computer literacy is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

The HGV Technician responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of trucks and vehicles. Fault diagnostics. MOT preparation. Mechanical and electrical repairs. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner. Road test vehicle when required, subject to licence restrictions. Attend any technical or development training that is made available.

Shift Pattern:

Week 1 – Monday атур to Friday 6am – 2:30pm.
Week 2 – Monday to Friday, 1pm to 9:30pm plus an 8‑hour Saturday shift paid as overtime.
