JOB DESCRIPTION
The Cash Bonds Middle Office, based in London, supports the Rates, Credit and DCM cash businesses. The team is responsible for trade validation, intraday exception monitoring and resolution, lifecycle management and the review of reconciliation output. It is set up to offer a trading support function to the front office, and therefore interacts regularly with a wide network of internal departments including Trading, Sales, Operations and Finance teams both onshore and offshore. Additional responsibilities include industry/regulatory change, infrastructure migration and integration and project management/delivery.
This role is suitable for an Associate. An ideal candidate should have an understanding of bonds from a product perspective, as well as market infrastructure, and have had experience directly supporting a trading desk in a trade support or similar role. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual with a good understanding of operational risk and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will need to be able to work both within a team and independently in a high volume environment, must be able to prioritize effectively and understanding when to escalate.
