Line Manager’s Job Title: Plant General Manager

Contract Type: permanent

Job Purpose

In your role as quality manager, you will be expected to develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and systems to ensure products/services meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements, involving process monitoring, staff training, supplier auditing, data analysis, and driving continuous improvement (CI) in production and operations.

Job Dimensions & Scope
  • Strategy & Standards: Establish quality policies, procedures, and standards, aligning with customer needs and legal requirements.
  • Process Control: Implement and monitor quality control tests, inspect products at various stages, and oversee production processes
  • Data & Reporting: Collect and analyse quality data, create statistical reports, and report findings to senior management.
  • Improvement: Lead CI initiatives (like Six Sigma), identify weaknesses, and implement changes to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff on quality standards, manage quality teams, and foster a quality-focused culture.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work with purchasing, suppliers, other departments, and customers to resolve issues and ensure compliance
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Ideally educated to a bachelor’s degree in a related field with strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, communication, attention to detail and data analysis.
  • Confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards, quality systems (ISO 900, 14001 & Recyclass certification).
  • Personality/Attributes: Adaptable and self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Proactive and dynamic approach to health, safety and environment situations.
  • Good written and presentational skills. Fluent English
  • Ambitious, driven with a hunger to succeed and deliver improved results.
  • Proactive with a positive “can do” attitude.
