Purpose of Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. We are a small school which effectively supports children through their educational journey. We are seeking staff members that are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking team where we can shape the next phase of our journey and bring strategic clarity, energy and vision to our school.

We support a vast array of students who have learning difficulties which affect their learning, communication and daily life. Key Responsibilities

• The role focuses on planning and delivering personalised learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of pupils with communication differences, sensory processing needs, and complex and severe learning needs
• Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
• collaborative working with families and professionals to support children's progress
• Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
• Lead a team and provide clear guidance to Teaching Assistants
• Help to disseminate good practice across the school.

Requirements

• A committed and passionate view of students with SEND and PMLD
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where pupils feel understood and empowered to explore, communicate and thrive
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND and/or PMLD/SLD unit/provision
  • QTS/QTLS is advantageous
