A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a Housing Solutions Officer to enhance relationships with private landlords and ensure the availability of emergency housing. Ideal candidates will have experience in housing sectors and knowledge of relevant laws. This role offers a salary of £26,824 to £28,598 per year with a flexible working pattern, including hybrid working options.
English: The Housing Solutions Service: This post is situated within the Housing Solutions Team, its main functions are to support a team to maximise the use of the private rented sector, thereby increasing the housing options available for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness whilst managing the Council’s temporary accommodation stock ensuring compliance of both clients and landlords.
English: Pay Details: Grade 5 SCP 8 – 12. £26,824 to £28,5981 per annum pro rata Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week – Monday to Friday Main Place of Work: Civic Office, Barry and other locations in the Vale of Glamorgan as required to undertake the post including hybrid working.
To enhance positive and pro-active relationships with existing and prospective private landlord partners and letting agents in order to maintain and increase supply of Private Rented housing available to the Council. To maintain a register of suitable temporary accommodation available to the Council to use as emergency housing.
