  • Supporting painting and decorating works, including surface preparation, patch repairs, and finishing of communal areas
  • Assisting with basic electrical‑related tasks where appropriate, such as changing light fittings, replacing bulbs, and safe isolation procedures (non‑qualified work only)
  • Learning to safely select, use, and maintain hand tools and basic power tools in line with company procedures
  • Following health and safety requirements at all times, including use of PPE, manual handling techniques, COSHH awareness, and site risk assessments

  • Supporting the completion of job sheets, maintenance logs, photographs, and digital reporting systems
  • Assisting with stock control, materials handling, and keeping maintenance vehicles and storage areas organised
  • Developing customer service skills when working in occupied properties, including professional communication with residents and site staff
  • Working as part of a team to meet service levels, response times, and quality standards expected by the block management company
  • Attending off‑the‑job training, toolbox talks, and apprenticeship review meetings as required
