Qualifications

• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
• Experience working in a safeguarding role within a school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children.
• Provide advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues.
• Maintain accurate records of safeguarding concerns.
• Liaise with external agencies, such as social services and the police.
• Monitor the progress of students who have safeguarding concerns.
