Job description

Car and HGV mechanic/Technician

2x positions available.

Monday to Friday and On Call Rota (shift patterns to be discussed).

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic HGV technician to join our team, to work on various makes and models of heavy and light commercial vehicles, trailers and all that's in between.

Carrying out routine repairs, maintenance, inspections & MOT preparation, roadside call outs, based in and around the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend all breakdowns as requested by the Operations Centre.
• Effect all repairs efficiently, competently, and to the correct standard.
• Maintain and develop skills in all aspects of repair, service and maintenance.
• Use all equipment and training provided to ensure maximum roadside repair rate.
• Inform the Operations Centre of the outcome of each job and request further assistance if required.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and log the details of the job accurately, including taking images before load/collection and after load/drop‑off.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management.
• Ensure that the service provided to the customer is of the highest standard in keeping with the brand image and the company’s standards.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies regarding driving and vehicle maintenance.
• Work flexible hours and be available for on‑call duties as required.
