Responsibilities include personal care, housekeeping, and promoting social engagement. Ideal candidates will possess a kind attitude and reliability, while previous experience is a plus but not mandatory. This role offers training, benefits, and the opportunity to make a valuable impact in clients' lives.
As a Home Care Support Worker you will provide care to individuals, within their own homes. This will involve traveling between clients through the community as well as our retirement villages. You’ll perform a variety of tasks according to the person‑led care plan; this may change periodically dependent upon the needs and wishes of the customer. We’re committed to giving you the best start possible and you will receive thorough training, including shadow training with an Experienced Worker before being expected to work alone.
Our team is growing and we have immediate opportunities for people to join us working either full or part‑time. A full‑time contract will be 40hrs per week while part‑time can be flexible although we do ask for a commitment of 16 hrs per week as a minimum. Due to the location you will need to be willing to travel and be able to drive to rural areas, with business insurance. You will be paid travel time at minimum wage and receive a mileage allowance.
The needs of our customers can vary greatly, some will be in need of personal care to help them get up and dressed in the morning, bathing, taking medication and ensuring their nutritional needs are met. Others require domestic support, so you’ll help them out around the house with general housework, laundry and shopping. You could also assist in more specific areas such as financial care by collecting their pension for them or helping to budget effectively and manage their bills. Some customers just need a little support to help them remain active socially; you might accompany them to activities such as local clubs or on days out.
As a Carer, you’ll value kindness above all and keep the client at the heart of everything you do. Our aim is to ensure that our clients receive the highest standard of care to live well independently. By joining, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to support with all aspects of day‑to‑day living and see first hand the difference you make to the lives of those you care for. Ideally you’ll have previous experience in a care environment but this is not essential. Above all you’ll be reliable, have a kind and caring attitude, a desire to help others and a flexible approach to work. You’ll be friendly and approachable with the ability to quickly build rapport and put people at ease, always having respect for those you care for and their dignity.
We’ll provide training at full pay, so it’s a great opportunity to learn something new. In return, you will enjoy access to a huge variety of benefits and services to support your physical and psychological well‑being throughout your career as a Care Assistant. We will invest in you and you will enjoy additional support and benefits including:
