A charitable organization in Bromsgrove is seeking dedicated individuals to provide specialized support to a vibrant young woman. Candidates should bring creativity and a positive attitude, with experience in trauma-informed care. You'll be actively involved in activities such as drama, cooking, and gym sessions while working in a supportive team environment. This role offers competitive pay, training opportunities, and a flexible working schedule within a rewarding context.
What makes Community Integrated Care a great place to work:
We’re building a specialist team to support a vibrant young woman, B, who lives life fully. You’ll be part of a close-knit group delivering trauma‑informed, person‑centred support based on Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) principles.
You’ll help B thrive by supporting her in drama, role play, singing, dancing, cooking, caring for her pets, and staying active at the gym. No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to bring joy, build trust, and make a lasting impact.
You must also be willing to take part in a recruitment assessment day. Assessment dates are scheduled throughout 2025 and all details will be confirmed for successful applicants.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, working with challenging behaviours, autism and sensory communication, and physical health. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have extensive experience in social care.
You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.
During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first‑hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
We value patience, empathy, compassion, sensitivity to others, a strong work ethic, reliability, honesty, determination, problem solving, resilience, and a commitment to our values: We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable.
