A leading law school in Cambridge is seeking an Assistant Professor in Tort Law to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses starting from 1 October 2026. The successful candidate will hold a PhD, demonstrate strong teaching skills, and contribute to high-quality research in Tort Law. # Assistant Professor in Tort Law - Fixed Term - 3 YearsThe Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified person to an Assistant Professor in Tort Law from 1 October 2026. The person appointed will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, conduct and supervise research, and participate in the general work of the Faculty.The appointee will be:* an outstanding scholar and teacher in the fields of Tort Law and will be required to teach on one or more Tort Law papers offered by the Faculty as part of the LLM programme, and may be required to teach on Tort Law papers offered as part of the undergraduate programmes;* demonstrate potential to lecture effectively and to carry out and publish research of the highest calibre;* normally hold a PhD or equivalent qualification.The Faculty is one of the worlds leading law schools. It is consistently ranked highly in the United Kingdom, in national league tables, and in the QS World University Rankings. The Faculty of Law currently has over 100 University, Faculty and College teaching officers. Almost every area of legal interest is represented.The Faculty of Law successfully renewed its Athena Swan Bronze Award in January 2026.
