Job summary

A leading public sector service provider is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join the Enterprise Applications Team. This role offers flexible and hybrid working options in Swindon, Newport, or Billingham. Responsibilities include leading issues resolution for HR and Payroll ERP systems and improving processes. Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion and Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 across HCM modules.
• Strong understanding of Oracle ERP processes with broader ERP exposure such as SAP or Workday.
• Proven ability to produce clear requirements and functional specifications.
• Effective cross-team collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working within a shared service environment is advantageous.
• Demonstrable ability to lead minor projects and change initiatives.
• Technical proficiency with PL/SQL, Java, BI Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Functional lead for resolving issues and delivering change requests for HR and Payroll ERP system.
• Identify opportunities to improve people and system processes.
• Document change, continuous improvement, and business support requirements with accuracy.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Support testing activities ensuring issues are recorded and resolved.
• Provide coaching/training to clients/team members.
