Job summary

A healthcare provider in the City of Edinburgh is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner for their Medicine of the Elderly team. The role focuses on supporting an Occupational Therapist, conducting patient assessments, and providing rehabilitative interventions. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and relevant experience in an acute setting. The position requires weekend work as part of a 5 over 7 day shift pattern. Competitive pro-rata salary offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working independently in therapy interventions.
• Ability to assess patient needs and modify treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Work independently to deliver therapy interventions on the wards.
• Engage fully with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support Therapy teams with various non‑clinical duties.
• Commit to weekend working as part of the overtime pattern.
• Participate in staff development through supervision opportunities.
