Job summary

A technology solutions company in Bristol is seeking an Applications Engineer to enhance processes and develop technical expertise for customers. Responsibilities include processing various customer samples and working closely with the Applications Team on process development. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and at least two years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Qualifications

  • Relevant science or engineering degree. A background in chemistry or Chemical engineering would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or relevant experience in an academic institution.
  • Exposure to PECVD, CVD or ALD or ICP etch processes.

Responsibilities

  • Process a wide variety of samples for customers and the applications team.
  • Develop and enhance processes tailored for customers.
  • Support final acceptance of tools at client sites.
  • Produce technical reports to capture results and issues.
  • Liaise with customers to understand product performance requirements.

Skills

Advanced skills in analysing samples (e.g. SEMs, profilometer, AFM)
Innovation for technology development applications
Excellent written and oral communication

Education

Relevant science or engineering degree
Minimum of 2 years in semiconductor industry or academic experience
