Job description
Our Role

The Digital Content Assistant Manager is responsible for delivering and optimising the content and structure of The White Company website to drive global digital growth. This role manages the Digital Content team and is accountable for the successful execution of all product launches, ensuring brand alignment across all locales and seamless integration with production and trade initiatives.

Working closely with the Digital Content & Production Manager, this role supports the rolling content plan, seasonal critical path and broader digital strategy, ensuring product and campaign execution is delivered to the highest standard, on time and in line with trading objectives.

What you’ll be doing
Product Launch & Execution
  • Own and deliver all product launches in line with agreed deadlines and site standards.
  • Ensure launch KPIs are tracked, reported and continuously improved.
  • Lead the Digital Content team in executing product launches, brand campaigns, trade initiatives and site enhancements to agreed standards.
  • Oversee content delivery for Wholesaler and Concession websites, ensuring assets and product information are delivered within agreed SLAs.
  • Manage and maintain the Seasonal Critical Path and Content Plan, aligning closely with Creative, Buying and Merchandising plans.
  • Ensure all product set-up meets site standards, including accurate attributes, linking, SEO-optimised titles and adherence to agreed taxonomy for customer experience and analytics.
  • Review and update continuity lines season-on-season in line with evolving site standards.
Content Strategy & Optimisation
  • Support the Digital Content & Production Manager in delivering brand and local campaigns across the site within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to the digital content strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the customer journey and presenting actionable ideas.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of CMS platforms (Hybris and Amplience) and support content updates where required.
  • Analyse product page and site-level performance data, providing insight-driven recommendations.
  • Contribute to post-campaign analysis, identifying learnings to influence future planning.
  • Ensure all website content changes are delivered on time with clear stakeholder expectation management.
Customer Experience & Trading
  • Ensure product information is clear, consistent and compelling to support customer decision-making and drive conversion.
  • Identify opportunities to connect product and browse content, enhancing the end-to-end customer journey.
  • Analyse and optimise key customer journey touchpoints, collaborating cross-functionally to improve content, systems and processes.
  • Use relevant tools and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for content and trading enhancements.
  • Execute product trading plans in partnership with Buying & Merchandising, ensuring correct product assortment is live to schedule.
  • Own product selling attributes by understanding the range, analysing competitors and working with Digital Marketing to identify keyword opportunities.
  • Ensure brand assets are effectively utilised across the site, tracking engagement and reporting performance to senior stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Manage, coach and develop direct reports, fostering collaboration and alignment to departmental and business objectives.
  • Drive process improvements across product set-up and content workflows in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Deputise for the Digital Content & Production Manager when required, confidently managing stakeholders and priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Creative, Buying and Merchandising teams, ensuring clarity of priorities.
  • Champion content processes across teams, identifying inefficiencies and leading resolution.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-led and customer-focused approach in all stakeholder interactions.
What skills & experience you’ll need
  • Experience Photoshop skills.
  • Experience of Scene7 or other image management software is essential.
  • Experience of Content Square or Adobe Analytics is desirable, but not necessary.
  • Good understanding of websites (either working directly or with other departments or suppliers) across content and functionality and able to self-serve basic content on the sites.
  • Good understanding of how content management systems operate.
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint. A good grasp of Microsoft Excel and confidence in handling data.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Highly organised and flexible, with appreciation of shifting priorities and reacting to change requests.
  • Work well in a team and independently and have a pro-active, ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Knowledge and passion about online, multi-channel retail and customer experience
