Cheltenham Ladies’ College has a competitive pay scale with membership of the TPS, or membership of a Defined Contribution (DC) Pension Scheme. The DC option includes an additional non-pensionable cash allowance

A well-qualified, inspiring and dynamic Teacher of Geography and Second in Department who will inspire and challenge our students to think and learn in a supportive and positive environment is required to join our high performing department. There are over 140 girls studying GCSE Geography across Years 10 and 11 and approximately 40 studying the subject at A level and IB. We also have a number of girls who go on to study Geography at university.
This role is key in supporting the Head of Geography in the continued development of the Department, helping secure high-quality teaching and learning and the effective use of resources to ensure the highest standards of achievement for all pupils.
The successful applicant will have evidence of being an outstanding Teacher of Geography across multiple key stages including exam groups, a proven track record of securing strong pupil progress and outcomes, including the design and implementation of effective intervention strategies as well as the ability to work collaboratively and with authority within a team, actively supporting, coaching, and developing colleagues.
The successful applicant will be part of a team of six specialist professionals. The department is well-resourced and full support with induction and continuing professional development is provided.
All teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College, but there are no residential duties.
