Overview

Here at the WestmorlandFamily we make all our food ourselves from fresh local ingredientsincluding beef and lamb from our own farm at Tebay and carefullyselected local suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients.

Our production unit at Gloucester Services specialises in batch cooking our homemade dishes that are sold in our Kitchens at Gloucester.

Responsibilities

• Supporting our chefs, as a Production Team Member you will assist in all areas of food production in line with company standards and to recipe specifications as well as assisting with packaging and labelling.
• Assist with all aspects of kitchen cleanliness, including the pot wash as well as offering assistance to the Stock Controller with receiving, checking and storing deliveries correctly whilst ensuring effective stock rotation.
• Work straight shifts with no splits and mainly during the day but can be flexible depending on the needs of a successful work/life balance.

Qualifications

• Previous food production experience would be desirable but we are open to hearing from people from all different backgrounds.
• You should be comfortable with handling and preparing food, long periods of standing, lifting and carrying as well as other tasks, including cleaning.
• You will need to work well as part of a team, be willing to get stuck in wherever needed and good communication skills will be essential.
