A local government authority in Northampton seeks Reablement Support Officers to support individuals in regaining independence. The role involves traveling to homes, case-managing reablement journeys, and providing personal care. Candidates should have experience in health or social care, an NVQ level 2 qualification, and a driving licence. This position offers a flexible schedule with a competitive hourly rate and various employee benefits.
Our Reablement Support Officers work with a number of people in the community each day. You’ll travel to the people’s homes to support them with regaining skills and confidence to enable them to become more independent, actively promoting their choice and dignity.
It’s an incredibly rewarding role; every day and every visit are different. You’ll work with autonomy and independence but within a close‑knitted team and will receive regular support from the Reablement Team Manager. You’ll also collaborate closely with other health partners such as the intermediate care team.
Cycle: 4 days on, followed by 4 days off. Shift breakdown per 4‑day block: 2 Morning shifts (07:00–16:00), 2 Evening shifts (13:30–22:30). Total weekly hours: 31.5.
Pay: £14.88–£15.68 per hour depending on experience. Rate of pay also includes 45p per mile.
