The ideal candidate has experience in B2B publishing, strong organizational skills, and a flair for marketing creativity. Join a dynamic team dedicated to audience growth and innovative marketing solutions.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
The Marketing Executive will support the marketing team in executing marketing strategies and campaigns to drive audience engagement and lead generation for emap’s Emerald division.
The role involves creating, implementing, reporting and continuously improving email marketing, social media marketing, web marketing and event marketing campaigns. It also involves creating copy and basic design assets and lead generation campaigns to promote the sales of our brands’ ad media packages.
The ideal candidate will have experience in publishing, preferably B2B publishing, and will be adept at organising participation in trade fairs.
Strong organisational skills are essential for managing personal tasks and coordinating the activities of a small team (with broad support from the Head of Marketing and Subscription Marketing Manager).
This role covers the marketing of leading brands within the portfolio, which currently includes AV Magazine, Packaging News, Electronics Weekly, Motor Trader, Independent Retail News and DFNI. These titles are controlled circulation (free) subscriptions and as the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the growth in free subscriptions and engagement across the brands.
The brand extensions include events and bespoke “client solutions”. You will work closely with the sponsorship team on the client solutions to provide marketing support. The mix includes webinars, reports, round tables, meetings, and some events.
As the Marketing Executive you will create award-winning marketing campaigns to drive exponential growth in subscriber numbers, increase web engagement from subscribed and non-subscribed users, increase the share of subscribed traffic over overall traffic, increase reach, engagement and click-through from emails and social media. Retention of our existing subscriber base is an important part of this role.
You will need creative flair and exceptional analytical skills to be able to determine which channels will yield the best returns.
