The Education Department at HMP Manchester requires cover staff to deliver English and Maths sessions to small groups of learners as part of our new Education contract.
We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Manchester, working as an English and Maths Cover Teacher on an ad‑hoc basis.

HMP Manchester is a Category A and B men's prison in Manchester, England. Established in 1868 and designed by Alfred Waterhouse, it is known for its iconic ventilation tower and long‑standing role as a high‑security facility. HMP Manchester serves as a local prison for remanded prisoners awaiting trial and sentencing, as well as those serving long‑term sentences, and is committed to rehabilitation, offering educational programmes, vocational training, and support services aimed at reducing reoffending.
