Job summary

A leading research institution in Norwich is seeking an enthusiastic Research Scientist to join the Webber group. The successful candidate will utilize high throughput transposon mutagenesis to investigate how bacteria control drug entry to cells. Candidates must have a PhD in microbiology/genomics and experience with bacterial pathogens, including creating transposon mutant libraries and familiarity with RNAseq. This is a full-time post for a contract of 48 months with a salary range of £37,500 to £45,350 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in microbiology/genomics and experience working with bacterial pathogens.
• Experience creating transposon mutant libraries and analysing resulting data is essential.
• Familiarity with RNAseq is required.
• Comfort with contemporary molecular genetics and microbiology.

Responsibilities
