Job summary

A community leisure centre based in Bridgend is seeking a qualified Swimming Teacher to instruct and coach individuals in swimming. Qualifications

• Qualified Swimming Instructor or willing to achieve the STA Award qualification.
• Ability to teach swimming skills effectively.
• Experience in a leisure setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out swimming lessons to increase customer skill and confidence
• Provide feedback to customers to help them improve their swimming skills
• Ensure safety in the water and build customer confidence
• Maintain a clean and safe activity environment

Skills

Experience of instruction groups of mixed age and abilities

Good oral communication and interaction skills

Knowledge of the National Plan for Swimming Teaching

Health and Safety awareness

Flexibility in working hours

Education

STA Award/Certificate or SEQ Level 2
