# Matron – Digital(UK Visa Sponsorship)### Job Description## Role OverviewDoncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS FT has created a new and forward-looking opportunity for a Digital Matron to support the organisation’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) transformation. This role sits at the intersection of clinical practice and digital innovation, helping clinical teams adopt safer, smarter and more efficient ways of working.Working alongside the Chief Nursing Information Officer, digital specialists and system suppliers, you will play a central role in modernising how patient information is recorded, accessed and used across services. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient safety, care quality and staff experience as the Trust progresses toward paper-light and digitally enabled care pathways.Although prior digital health experience is advantageous, comprehensive training and development will be provided.The successful candidate will be primarily based in Doncaster but may be required to work across Trust locations depending on service needs.**Purpose of the Role*** Support delivery of the Trust’s EPR and digital records programmes.* Help clinical teams transition to new systems, processes and technologies.* Ensure patient safety, quality and experience remain central to all digital initiatives.* Strengthen collaboration between clinical, digital, ICT and supplier teams.### Key Responsibilities**Digital Transformation & Programme Support*** Coordinate and monitor progress across digital workstreams linked to EPR deployment.* Assist clinical services in adopting new workflows and technology-enabled practices.* Work with senior digital leaders to ensure programmes align with organisational priorities.* Support implementation of mobile and innovative digital solutions within patient care.**Clinical Engagement & Service Improvement*** Provide practical guidance to frontline teams during system rollouts.* Promote safer, more efficient documentation and information-sharing practices.* Identify opportunities where digital tools can enhance patient pathways and outcomes.* Contribute to the design of sustainable, long-term improvements to information management.**Collaboration & Stakeholder Working*** Partner with ICT teams, external suppliers and deployment specialists.* Engage clinicians, managers and educators to support adoption of new systems.* Communicate progress, risks and solutions clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.* Ensure digital developments reflect real clinical needs.**Leadership & Management*** Provide line management and professional support where required.* Encourage a culture that embraces innovation, learning and continuous improvement.* Maintain focus on measurable benefits including patient safety and service quality.### About the TrustDoncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of Yorkshire’s leading acute providers, serving over 440,000 people across three hospital sites and community services.
