Salary: Up to £43,650.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff in the Nursing department.

This is a part‑time role for 24 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Provide hands‑on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
• Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
• Promote high standards of nursing practice through supervision, coaching, and role modelling.
• Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
• Support the development, appraisal, and competency assessment of junior nurses, HCAs, and students.
• Contribute to the induction and ongoing development of new staff, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards.
• Promote compliance with infection prevention, medication safety, safeguarding, and other clinical governance priorities.
• Report and support investigations of incidents, complaints, and near misses, contributing to a culture of safety and learning.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
• Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and coordination skills.
