HR Assistant

Looking to build your HR career in a role that offers real variety, learning, and progression? We're looking for an HR Assistant to provide support across a wide range of HR activities within a busy and growing organisation.

The role

As an HR Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the HR team, helping with recruitment, onboarding, data management, and general HR coordination. You'll work closely with managers and employees across the business to ensure HR operations run efficiently, offer guidance on HR procedures, and help strengthen our reputation as a supportive and people-focused employer.

The main responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality administrative support across all HR areas, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Create and post job adverts, manage candidate applications, and schedule interviews.
  • Support managers with new starter inductions, onboarding plans, and probation reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee information.
  • Oversee pre-employment checks and right-to-work documentation.
  • Assist with preparing and updating job descriptions, HR documents, and policies.
  • Coordinate training, apprenticeship paperwork, and compliance reporting.
  • Contribute to building a positive workplace culture and employer brand initiatives.
  • Act as a first point of contact for staff queries, escalating when necessary.
  • Suggest and support improvements to HR processes and systems.
The ideal candidate
  • CIPD qualified (or studying) or degree educated in a relevant discipline.
