A leading legal firm based in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a legal professional to join its Leasehold Disputes Team. The successful candidate will manage disputed cases and build strong relationships with leaseholders. Applicants must hold a law degree or equivalent qualification and possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience with Microsoft Office is essential. This is a client-facing role in a fast-paced environment that offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals.
What will you be doing?
You'll be a key part of the Leasehold Disputes Team, dealing with disputed cases as well as a diverse range of other litigation matters. The environment is fast paced and excellent negotiation skills alongside a confident telephone manner are key. A big part of this role will be to speak with leaseholders and persuade them to pay arrears in full and you'll be joining a supportive team where you can learn from true leaders in their field.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an interest to work within a busy litigation environment. Successful applicants will be highly organised, efficient and able to prioritise effectively to work to tight client deadlines. As a client facing role, you'll also need to be able to build and maintain strong relationships and Knowledge of property law would be beneficial but is not essential.
The ability to solve problems and make decisions on files, provide a fast and efficient turnaround of work and maintain an enthusiastic and flexible approach is paramount as is demonstrating initiative in order to take responsibility for tasks and reporting. You must also be able to draft standard written communications, have experience using IT software such as Microsoft programmes and be ready to be trained on new systems.
