What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs to mechanical equipment and infrastructure.

• Reacting swiftly to breakdowns, implementing both temporary and permanent solutions to keep production moving.

• Supporting safe systems of work, risk assessments, and high safety standards across the team.

• Contributing to improvement initiatives, helping reduce downtime and boost efficiency.

• Using welding, cutting, and fabrication skills to maintain key operational assets.

• Supporting junior operatives and communicating effectively across site teams.

• Conducting daily plant checks, reporting issues, and maintaining clean, hazard-free work areas.

What You’ll Bring

• Ideally anNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical maintenance, with experience in a heavy industrial setting.

• Skilled in fabrication, welding, and fault-finding across a range of plant and equipment.

• Great team spirit and communication skills—you’ll be working with colleagues across production, maintenance, and leadership.

• A good understanding of engineering drawings, safety systems, and preventative maintenance routines.

• Experience with mobile plant (e.g. Loading Shovel, ADT) is a bonus—but not essential.
